Babies on the Brain

I went to a baby shower on Monday evening for my friend Andrea & her new baby boy - William. I wanted to make something a little extra special for them as I had the privilege of being with Andrea as one of her labour & deliver nurses for the early part of her labour.

Everyone always asks mommies & daddies to show off baby pictures so I decided to make a cute little photo brag book - a sort of mini album or scrapbook - that she can pop into her purse and take wherever she goes.

(Stampin' Up! cardstock - soft sky, real red, basic black, whisper white)










The little chick is stamped with versamark ink, then chalked with Stampin' Up! chalks. The edge of the circle with the chick on it is inked with Real Red and the dots are stamped with Soft Sky ink. (Inks from Stampin' Up!)

The black band just slides off either to the left or right. Then the mini album flips open.




The inside of the brag book once it is flipped open...















The centre page of the album is flipped open so you can see that the little pages are mini envelopes (from Stampin' Up!). the back of the envelopes are stamped with Soft Sky & So Saffron inks from Stampin' Up!

You can write on the black background with a white gel pen - a bit of journaling or dates... Or even add a photo there... whatever you wish.

The background doodle design - stamped with Basic Black. The scalloped "sweet one" in the centre is inked using the Stampin' Up! markers so I could use 2 different colours - Real Red & So Saffron. (Inks from Stampin' Up!)

At the side the ribbon pull tab is attached to a tag that you pull out - you can place a photo on just the front or add a 2nd one to the back.

The little brag book will hold a maximum of 9 photos approximately 2.5 x 3 inches in size.
